Refunds and withdrawal

Digital goods delivered immediately have their own rules in the EU. This page says plainly what you are agreeing to at checkout and what happens when a refund goes through.

Last updated 14 August 2026

1The right of withdrawal, and what you waive

As a consumer in the EU you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason.

For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends as soon as delivery starts — but only where you expressly asked for immediate delivery and acknowledged that you were giving the right up. That is the box you tick before paying, and nothing is sold here without it: we record which wording you were shown and when.

Until delivery starts, the fourteen days still stand. Renewals of a subscription are not a fresh delivery, so the waiver belongs to the first one only.

If you are buying as a business rather than as a consumer, this clause does not apply to you.

2When we refund anyway

Beyond the statutory right, we refund when:

  • the plugin does not do what its listing said, and the publisher cannot put it right;
  • we suspend a plugin you had recently bought, because it turned out to breach the security policy;
  • you were charged twice, or charged after cancelling.

We do not usually refund because a plugin was not to your taste, or because you changed your mind after using it for weeks. Ask anyway — write to us and say what happened.

3What a refund does to the plugin

A refund revokes the licence immediately. Not at the end of the period, not at the next renewal: as soon as the refund is recorded, the licence stops being valid, the plugin stops downloading, and a plugin that checks its licence at startup stops running.

If it was a subscription, it ends at the same moment — leaving it alive would bill you again for something you were just given back.

Keep this in mind before asking for a refund on something you are still using.

4Subscriptions

Cancelling is not a refund. It stops the next renewal and leaves the period you have already paid for intact — you keep access until it ends, plus a 3-day grace window.

We do not refund part of a period already used. If a renewal caught you by surprise — you meant to cancel and did not — tell us within a few days and we will usually put it right.

5How to ask

Write to [SUPPORT EMAIL] from the address on your account, with the plugin name and roughly when you bought it. We answer within [RESPONSE TIME] working days.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used. Once we send it, your bank decides how quickly it appears — usually a few working days.

6Publishers

A refunded sale does not count towards what you are owed. If the refund lands before the money was settled to you, it simply never reaches your balance.

If it lands after you were already paid, we do not take it back from a later payout automatically: we will contact you about it. Recovering money already sent is a conversation, not an adjustment made behind your back.
